Will and be going to

8 th grade

When we use will?

1.Will is used to make a prediction or give an opinion about the future, especially after (don`t) think … and I`m sure…

For example:

1. I think the trip will be really interesting.
2. I`m sure you will like the hotel.

2. Will is used to express a spontaneous decision, when people decide to do something at the moment of speaking. It is also used to express offers of help and promises.

For example:

1. It`s very hot in here. We will open all the windows
2. I`m very thirsty. I will get you some water.  

When we use to be going to? 

We usually use  ‘’going to’’ in two ways:

1. Planning for future (болашақтағы жоспарлар)

For example:

I`m  going to  see my friend tomorrow.

2. Beforehand planning aims and intention

(алдын-ала  жоспарланған  ниеттер,  мақсаттар)

For example:

I`m  going  to  be  a journalist.
